Yoga Nidra

"Yoga Nidra is the science of relaxation which enables each of us to dive deep into the realms of the subconscious mind, thereby releasing and relaxing mental tensions, and establishing harmony in all facets of our being." ~ Swami Satyananda Saraswati

Experience Deep Bliss!

Yoga Nidra is a simple inviting meditation practice to cultivate a deep sense of peace, balance, calmness, stillness and clarity. The intention of Yoga Nidra is towards wholeness. By practicing Yoga Nidra on a consistent and regular basis you can discover your True Essence. It is an effective tool to heal, release or inhibit various physical and emotional diseases including stress, pain, cardiovascular, and psychosomatic conditions.

Yoga Nidra means “dynamic yogic sleep”. The state of consciousness where we are in deep "sleep" or deep rest, yet remain awake and aware. It is one of the deepest forms of meditation and a profound relaxation process to lead our awareness through all levels of being or koshas from the gross to the subtle layers or sheaths, including physical, energetic, mental, emotional, intuitive and spiritual, towards a state of complete serenity and wholeness.
Adrianne has a deep affinity for the practice and healing power of Yoga Nidra. By practicing Yoga Nidra on a regular basis she received a profound healing and discovered it to be a wonderful gift to share with others.

"If Yoga Nidra was a place where I could live, I will move in right now! Two years ago I had an accident where I suffered a head injury. As a result of the accident I was suffering from very strong headaches and spent night after night without being able to sleep. My doctor prescribed very strong sleeping pills but they were not working. Its been over a year since I discovered yoga with Adrianne and I can say that her classes, especially Yoga Nidra has brought me back to be a much happier relaxed version of myself. I have not taken any sleeping pills since. Yoga Nidra is like a little piece of heaven in this crazy world that we all live in...Thank you Adrianne for sharing this wonderful practice with us." ~  Love, Carmen"
Rejuvenate Your Life ~ Radiant Being Newsletter September 22, 2010 by Jennifer Reis

Adrianne Rowe is a hard working health and wellness conscious mother. She home schools her son Matthias who is almost six. Adrianne takes the time, effort and love to prepare not only all his varied activities and class plans, but also makes all their food, organic of course, from scratch (!). I admire this effort, having gone through bouts of it myself along the way, but her dedication to their diet is permanent: it is for nourishing her son to live his fullest potential.

Needless to say, Adrianne is busy and needs time to reconnect with herself and clear her mind of all the demands of her 'giving' life. She also needs to be 'on' every day- others are depending on her- so things like missing sleep in the past were detrimental to her abilities. She has found Yoga Nidra to be key in keeping herself balanced, clear, and well rested. I think you will enjoy and relate to her story.

Yoga Nidra - The Ultimate Tool for Every Mom
Before I practiced Yoga Nidra regularly I would wake up many mornings feeling not fully rested. As the 'CEO' of the household I take care of the home, prepare organic food, home school my son, teach yoga asana classes, and so much more. I felt challenged and overwhelmed with the many details of my daily life. I was rushing through my life too often. Many of my old habits and feelings were constantly present and dragged me down. I was beginning to feel unclear of my direction. Winging each day with no plan left me feeling somewhat unsettled.

Now I practice Yoga Nidra each morning as well as most evenings. I depend on it as part of what makes my life whole and complete. As a Mom, I found Yoga Nidra to be the perfect tool to nurture 'Me': I rest and recharge. I have experienced many forms of meditation over the years but none heal all the different levels and systems like Yoga Nidra does.

I get to take care of myself first before all the giving and activity begins. Now I enter each day feeling balanced, centered, grounded and flowing with grace. I use the affirmation from Jennifer's Deep Relaxation CD: "I flow through life with ease and peace", and discovered it actually does help me flow from one activity to the next effortlessly.

By practicing Yoga Nidra, I receive a great deal of inner healing and rejuvenation. My overall health has improved and every system is working better. My sleep patterns are much better. If I stay up later than usual, I rely on Yoga Nidra to restore me. Yoga Nidra always sets me back on track.

My relationship with my son Matthias has improved because I am in this new place of clarity and balance. When I was not in a good place, he wasn't either - he is a mirror of everything! Now we both flow through our day with more joy. Old patterns have smoothed out and if they do show up, I find I am better able to deal with them with much more grace and less reaction and find I do not take things as personally.

I lead Matthias in Yoga Nidra and I am so grateful to share this gift with him, knowing I am cultivating a lasting effect on his whole being. On occasion he leads me in Yoga Nidra! He is very creative and comes up with incredible visualizations with monkeys and all these fantastical images.

I find Jennifer's Yoga Nidras inspiring, affirmative and gently inviting; more so than other CD's I have heard. The affirmations coupled with imagery have helped me change patterns at deep core levels. I hear Jennifer's invitation to "Feel all parts of you come back together now" just when parts of myself feel lost, and I do come back together again feeling completely whole.

Yoga Nidra makes me feel wonderful: deeply connected to myself, filled with radiant joy, completely balanced and nurtured with access to my inner calm.
